In order to qualify for on-site sharpening you must meet the following requirements:

1. Must be within our on-site sharpening service area.
2. Must have a minimum of 3 items to be sharpened per facility.
3. Free parking in a well ventilated area must be available near your facility for our mobile shop.

Note: we cannot perform sharpening services from within a parking garage.

A single pair of shears typically takes between 15-30 minutes to sharpen.

Upon request, we can set you up with a pair of Shark Fin Shears to try out while your shears are being sharpened. (offered for on-site sharpening only)

Acute Sharpening charges a flat fee of $35 per shear.

Our mail-in sharpening service is geared toward those who may not meet our on-site sharpening service requirements.  To properly send your shears out for sharpening simply follow the instructions on the Mail-In Sharpening Service Request Form on our website.  Once we’ve received your shears they will promptly be serviced and sent back to the customer.

No, once you click “print” on the Mail-In Sharpening Service Request Form an email is automatically generated and sent to us.  This notifies us to expect your package.

Acute Sharpening turn around time on mail-in shear sharpening is 1-3 business days.  Please allow extra time for shipping to and from our shop. 

Acute Sharpening charges a flat fee of $35 per shear.  Mail-In sharpening with a loaner request is $40 per shear
